WHATS IN A TALISMAN

Talisman:

Any object infused with the life force energy of the one who creates it. A talisman is intended to protect, heal, or activate intentions for whom they are made. They are often portable objects carried on a person, placed in a space or installed permanently in architecture. Talisman evoke the energy assigned in their creation and intention, as a reminder to the recipient.

The inspiration for the Horse sketch came from an image I saw in the clouds while on the beach at sunset. I retired home to draw the horse head with a main that reminded me of Fire. Limited to materials I could find in small town Costa Rica the outcome was not my usual rice paper base or fully laminated result. Instead it is a fusion and in such is the unknown element when crafting a Talisman.

This years Talisman was crafted with the Fire Element symbolized by the colour red and the triangular shape. Earth tones were also used  to create balance and draw away some intensity from this ‘double fire’ Year. When the child of Fire, which is Earth beckons, Fire will mellow.

It is infused with prayer, words and intentions. The elements are balanced with colour, materials and stones. The talismans are meant to hang from a above and in light for its movement and reflective properties. The beaded leader has simple beads with bone, tourmaline, silver and is scattered with Swarovski crystals. The Lapiz Azul is the centre point. It was chosen for activation of the Pineal Gland and its ability to connect us to our intuition for good decision making.
We are cautioned this year to slow down prior to making important decisions. The Horse tends to jump prematurely and with double Fire this is infused with zealous, rapid speed. Lapis allows us to tune in and go with the gut as we can ‘choose’ when to move forward and in which directions.

This year the Grand Duke is in the middle sector of the South Gua. With your birth information I can advise the exact location for is optimal effects in 2026.
